CFD for Wind Turbine Power/RPM Output

Hi Greetings! I am a Mechanical with expertise in CFD. I can use both SolidWorks and ANSYS Fluent for CFD. I have done projects that include CFD of vertical axis wind turbine to optimize TSR, CFD of jet engine compressor for recovery of wake region, Design of wing to optimize lift, etc. Given my experience of CFD projects, I believe I am the right person for this project. For this project, I will use SolidWorks for 3d Modelling and for CFD I will use ANSYS Fluent. Dear Sir/Madam, I'd be glad to help you with your Wind Turbine performance analysis. I'm an experienced aerospace engineer, aerodynamicist and CFD engineer, with a background in many fields including renewable energy. I have worked on both CFD analysis of HAWT and VAWT systems, as well as wind tunnel development and practical full scale testing of small VAWT designs. For this project I'd probably end up using a combination of solidworks, Star CCM+ and potentially OpenFoam for cross reference correlation purposes - depending on your design and how in-depth you wish to understand the results. Based on my current personal setup I can run RANS models with an MRF boundary condition for quick result turnaround. Transient setups will take double the time to complete. The actual setup can be discussed in further detail as well as the presentation of RMP vs aerodynamic power output. More design details will be required to estimate realistic mechanical outputs, considering losses, condition sampling and any other assumptions.
