I am busy building a website that requires a database. I have mysql as this is the cheapest option for now as appose to online sql database servers. My website is basically a directory service that offers advertisement options to client in a certain industry. This means that basically the functionality of my website depends on a database with very little graphics. The database needs to be able to filter different categories in different regions. The database must then be able to link to different folders on the server that contains images and certain text data. Ultimately on the website the user will see an image and text that relates to his specificbsearch cryteria. As mentioned, I have mysql but no idea how to use it. How to connect the database to my website I will figure out later as for now I just want a functioning mysql database. As mentioned, I am clueless in this regard and need some insight or assistance.
