I have years of experience administering mikrotik devices on satellite internet connections, where the maximum throughput is 1Mbps down x 512kbps up and even less, and the latencies are between 600-1200ms, yet it must appear to be fast. I' d be happy to help you with your mikrotik project, but I do have a few questions for you to define the scope of work What is your internet connection speed? Is the speed consistent, or does it get faster and slower at different parts of the day? How many floors in the hotel? How many rooms in the hotel? How many WAP devices per floor? Are you implementing VLAN? Are you implementing NV2? Specific questions for the requirements: 1)Optimize Traffic Priority and enable burst (optional: based on layer-7 protocols and simple/dynamic queues for easier management) What different priorities do you want to set on the traffic? Can you define a list like: 1 - UDP 1 - HTTP 2 - HTTPS etc... 2. Applying a set of firewall filters to different User Profiles to block access to torrents, streams, social media sites, etc. It is known to me that if you setup 1 rule in the filter, that you can accomplish this. PLEASE NOTE: My bid is dependent on part 2 only being only 1 filter rule, should the scope of work be greater than this rule, the appropriate fee will apply.
