I am an independent person looking to get a price comparison web app built. The plan is to host the web app on AWS. Technology: Backend: Python Django Database: PostgreSQL Front-end: No preference Here are some features that I'd like to include: - Searching (full text) and displaying prices for a particular item. - Ability to sort and filter items in the search results. - Ability for a user to track an item and receive an email alert when the price falls. The user should also be able to "remove" the item from list of tracked items. - Responsive design that adjusts automatically when viewed from mobile, tablet or desktop.

Hello, I'm a Python/Web developer with 10+ years of experience. I'm looking for a project to fill some free time I have these upcoming weeks and this sounds like a fit. I must admit I find the description quite vague. I have some questions for you: - Should the items be added in the same app, or are they imported from somewhere else? - Why do you talk about "prices of an item"? Wouldn't an Item have one price only or the idea is to display the historical values? - Do you have the email setup and credentials ready to just start sending notifications? * I assume you don't need an API.
