Hi There With AWS I'd rather recommend to use AWS ECS Docker Cluster framework instead of setting up Docker Swarm and managing it by yourself. AWS ECS is almost the same as Swarm & it provides blue-green production deployment out of the box without any special configuration whatsoever. Lemme know if ECS works for you Cheers Joy

I just deployed a small Docker Swarm on AWS. The swarm hosts 7 very simple websites and has a Docker visualization tool to view the manager and workers along with the containers that are currently running within them. I chose small instances until the websites grow in popularity, but could easily choose larger instance types when the time comes.
