I'll describe points with respect to the job requierement and why I fit here - * I have over 12 years experience developing applications using Perl and Python All of this is on Unix/Linux operating systems. Bash, Screen and the Vi editor is the IDE for me. * I have worked on Request Tracker (RT is an open source bug tracking system) and have hacked it as per clients requirement. Also added a Single Sign On functionality which enables users to log on to RT if they are already logged on to main clinet's site. * Extensive experience in MVC (Perl-Catalyst) and Active Records (DBIx) design pattern. * I have worked on multiple Catalyst, CGI and Fast-CGI based applications before. * I have worked on modern Perl including Moose OO framework. * I have knowledge of Java and have recently done Catalyst and Java integration using Inline::Java. * I'm quite comfortable with Javascript/jQuery/JSON. * Have good exposure to PostGreSQL and have recently involved in writing stored procedures/functions using PL/pgSQL and PL/pgPerl. * I'm quite comfortable working on either SVN, Git or Bazaar. * Have used Perl best practices and Perl critic frameworks to develop secure and optimized applications. * Have been involved in test driven development in agile development environment.
