Powershell script to transfer XML files between servers based on a XML attribute

Hi,
I need a Powershell script that do the following steps:
1. Get XML files in folder "d:\origin"
2. If the element <Type>ForwardingShipment<Type> exists then transfer file (FTP) to server B , folder "d:\destination"
3. If no, evaluate the next file as previous step.
4. If error (no connection, logic error, etc.) send mail
5. Script should log above steps result in [login to view URL]
6. Script should be parametrizable
