I need an artist biography that I can send to art galleries along with my work, about 120-140 words long Current designation work profile - New Zealand Artist Designer working with Copper, Wood & Bone Background work experience - 30+ years wood and bonecarving, 4+ years copper sculpting Key strengths, skills, achievements - self taught Artist Designer Personality traits - Passion for the ocean and surfing, cant work conventional jobs, tried building, cabinetmaking, accounting art is what i love. Enjoy creating original artwork. Dont like rules/boundaries. My designs are directly inspired by the ocean, nature, surfing and waves. Here is some more background/ what I started writing before giving up: Daniel grew up near piha on aucklands wild west coast. He currently lives on great barrier island. His work is inspired by his lifelong connection to the ocean and passion for surfing. The son of 2 basket weavers, his own creativity appeared during highschool workshop design classes where he developed a love of working with new zealands native timbers and learnt to bonecarve. More recently after helping a copper artist sort out some production issues, he started working with this versatile and attractive medium as well.
