TekA Orthopaedics recently purchased Inline Orthopaedics to obtain technology that achieved ‘Proof of Concept’ at Kings College Hospital, London for medical technology that was utilised by surgeons to achieve allignment accuracy in THR surgery. Incorporating this technology with TekA’s latest developments has culminated in the production of a low cost, Surgeon friendly medical device and system that greatly assists low volumn and experienced surgeons. This advancement in THR surgery addresses a globally recognised need for accurate alignment. The significant ramifications of poorly aligned cup and stem placement are post-op pain and trauma and in many cases revisionary operations that are painful for patients and expensive.
