Your company measures procurement success based on negotiated savings which does not always deliver the best results. Prepare a business case identifying the following:
a) Areas of value loss from a savings-based measurement system
b) Assessment of the financial impact of these approach to the business.
c) Alternative forms of measurement that would drive increased value to the business.
Considering the proposal will be presented to senior management of the company, it is important to consider the following in the business case development.
- an executive summary should be concise, stand on its own, and give enough information to allow a senior manager to decide in principle.
It should clearly define the value proposition of your Business Case, i.e., identify the opportunity for change and justify the need for doing so. Provide a summary of the financials, operations, and benefits of your solution
- the use of infographic data in explaining financial impact is very important
