Website new article monitoring program in Python

I need a Python program (crawler) to monitor the annoucement channel of a website ([login to view URL] or [login to view URL]), which is constructed on top of Zendesk help centre API (endpoints are [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] ). The program I'm looking for should ideally pickup an annoucement within a couple of seconds once it's posted, which I found difficult as the API end point is rate limited and cached (I can only do >10 seconds reliably, can share example codes I'm using if required).
