Well, I have a full time job where I have written something similar in c++/python, so if given, I might reuse the same [login to view URL] assured i can deliver the same within next 12 hours. but i do need some help from you, I figured out the libs key in the xml, but need information about the other keys to proceed with the task :) let me know if the mac/win32/win64 OSes will have python installed so that the script is compatible with all the OSes, if not I might need to use bat or powershell :) I will be waiitng for your reply :)

Hello, You can use the libraries glob to recursively list files in directories and pyinotify to watch for file/directory changes. I have used both of these libraries before and know that they work reliably. For XML creation there is a whole stack of libraries out there but I'm suggesting just using the native ElementTree library. I'm sure I can help you with the project.
