edit the Kodi skin

I installed the Titan skin, and I wanted to customize it. I'm trying to edit xml files, to delete some categories in "Setting". So as to eliminate all that I do not need. But when I try to delete, the theme with the zip package is no longer installed, saying the package is corrupt. I need help removing some of KODI's features in this theme.
