Dataconomy is an independent press and events organisation focused on all things related to data science. We are Europe's leading media portal serving the business and data science communities with news, insights and industry analysis in the world of ‘Big Data.’ We regularly host events in cities throughout Europe to help people develop their understanding of data science, business and the intersection of the two.
Your role:
As an Event Representative, you would work remotely and on a freelance basis to help plan meetups in Warsaw, promote them and act as the face of Dataconomy on the day of the events. You will help shape the tone of the event and ensure it runs smoothly, all the while forging lasting relationships with speakers, partners and attendees.
You bring:
You identify and pursue leads for sponsorship and partner opportunities
You develop and implement a business strategy focused on events
You develop relationships with media partners for your region
You ensure the smooth operation of the events in all aspects – from speakers to refreshments to a/v equipment
You coordinate with event partners, speakers and sponsors to ensure a clear understanding of the event
You take care of administrative and organizational tasks related to the events
You promote and market the event on social media
You assist in growing our community online and offline using your marketing expertise
Requirements:
You are either pursuing or have a Bachelor’s degree or similar experience that makes you great in organising events
1-2 years of experience in organising events
You are able to work remotely, without supervision and excel at your tasks
You are very well organised and can independently manage an event from start to finish
You have an excellent command of English
You are a quick learner who can immediately dive into our business model
You have an entrepreneurial mindset and strong drive to succeed
You are an extrovert, have excellent relationship-building and communication skills
You are enthusiastic about working in sales and closing deals
