I am bilingual in British English and Portuguese, and as you will see from my profile, I am a retired, tenured adjunct professor with a lot of time on his hands. I got my B.Sc. in Sociology in 1975, my master’s in Urban and Regional Planning in 1990 and the RSA TEFL certificate in 1979. I spent the 1980s teaching English at the British Council in Lisbon, the whole of the 1990s teaching Probability and Statistics to undergraduates in engineering and between 2000 and 2016 taught Research Methods, Sociology, Anthropology, the Social Anthropology of Health and English to undergraduates in Nursing at the University of the Algarve.
I have academic publications in Portuguese and English.
