Not that it is impossible its just that most PLC programmers (me included) don't know a lot about WEB based links as we normally use SCADA and HMI systems for control. Remember the internet has no real security and putting systems on the net is risky. The SMS route is used a lot in water supply, remote sensing stations and alarm systems. Can you tell me more at this stage - maybe I can help. I don't think doing a number of simple control loops will be hard. Tuning them to behave effectively will be a bit more time consuming. How accurate does the temperature control need to be? How do the valves work - simple on/off or are they variable?
