My situation and what I’m looking for:
I have a webshop and a local shop with POS and I want them to sync products and orders. The POS are master, so new products are added there and so on.
New products are exported as xml files to a ftp server. A new file with a new name every time a product is added.
The webshop has to export orders, whenever they are added.
I’m using wp all import / export (pro version) for both import and export and it works (sort of).
WP All import can’t import from multiple xml files and ftp…
WP All Export can’t export the order xml files to ftp. It can only export the files to a folder in the wordpress structure.
What I have been thinking about:
Can you make an export script, that will send all new files from a folder to the POS FTP? That way the WP All Export Pro plugin, can just export new orders every 30 min. and a cron job will trigger an export script, that will check the POS FTP and transfer the xml files that are missing.
Soflyy who are the developers of WP All Import, they told me to use this script for ftp import:
I have installed the file in a folder called “importexport/“
When I trigger the script I get this error in the log:
[27-Jun-2018 08:13:47 UTC] PHP Warning: ftp_connect(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /home/zebrastu/public_html/only/importexport/[login to view URL] on line 23
The import script only works with one single file… the POS export a new file every time there is added or changed a product. The new file contains only data about that product.
So the import script has to check what xml files that has been imported and then only import the new xml files.
Any other solutions are mostly welcome!
