Web/Software Yii 2.0 Framework Developer (Melbourne, Australia)

We are a software developer of commercial products for the CNC, Sign and Print industries and are seeking a web/software programmer to assist us further develop our existing websites, admin back end and online carts. The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience: • Have experience and work with the Yii 2.0 framework. • Using the Yii 2.0 framework be able to create a PHP based backend to process AJAX queries and store/manipulate/retrieve data from a MySQL database. • Having skills using Excel, working with CSS, Adsense, SEO and WordPress would be considered an advantage. Project Example One example of what we require from a successful candidate, is the ability to design an interactive cart (using a framework) that depending upon the user’s selection, updates sections of the web page, using JSON data returned via AJAX calls to the PHP backend, and using JavaScript then updates and recalculates the information displayed client side, and submits this information to the PHP backend (along with interaction with a 3rd party Gateway API). You will also be expected to liaise between our senior programmer and our programmers overseas, and to develop test utilities to validate that their code meets with our requirements. To begin with the position is a 3 month contract in the Melbourne CBD with flexible contact hours (we encourage staff to work from home).
