Using Wine on Ubuntu to install Microsoft Word
$25-50 AUD / hour
I need to convert documents in docx format to txt format in Ubuntu. I am considering doing this by setting up a Wine environment and then installing Microsoft Word in that environment and having it open files as they are passed to it, saving them as txt and returning the txt file to the calling program. The whole process has to run automatically and reliably. I do not want to use LibreOffice, Pandocs etc as the results of the conversion are not accurate enough for my application.
Please only apply if you have previous experience with Wine and installing and configuring Word under it.
