The Goip SMS Server software by Hybertone/DBL is not very good (we have it running in Cloud VPS) and we require assistance in modifying their php code, or a new method to achieve our goals. We have a simple goal:- Forward Inbound SMS to a another number and we need to choose the outbound line number. We have a 8 line Goip and will purchase additional Goip units later, so the solution must work for additional Goip units on different IP:port (probably the same IP but different port) ie: For each Goip SMS line the inbound SMS messages are to be forwarded to a new number and the outbound line we use must be configurable eg; SMS inbound on line 1 > Forward SMS to any number via line 2 SMS inbound on line 3 > Forward SMS to any number via line 2 SMS inbound on line 5 > Forward SMS to any number via line 4 Possible methods to complete our goal are as follows: Method 1. Modifying existing installation of Hybertone SMS Server Software (maybe Preferred method). As you will see from attached images, their software has the ability to “Forward to Email” and “Forward to HTTP”. We cannot get either methods to function (perhaps their software is junk ?) However we actually require “Forward to SMS”. Maybe you can modify the SMS Server built in API http post commands such as; [login to view URL] - Using their existing code will maybe require modifying their html pages so that we can configure each line separately Hybertone/DBL Software is here: [login to view URL] Method 2. Use other new software code or script. If you decide we should abandon the SMS Server software then your new script will probably need the following minimum requirements: - to operate as SMPP client/ESME with Goip's embedded SMSC - OR to operate with Goips embedded API - ensure sucessful sending of message - simple txt log file for CDR: with Caller Number, Forward Number, Time/Date, - Each line must be configurable (eg SMS inbound on line 1 > Forward SMS to new number via line 2) - Must be able to communicate with additional Goip units (This is why using existing SMS Server software is maybe easier) - run continuously on Debian/Ubuntu sysem as a service and on reboot - provide installation script and/or instructions for usage - We do not need a web interface. We can ssh for modifications of your software We are very flexible in what approach you think is best and look forward to working with you. We can establish communication channel with Goip unit if required for testing, and also allow access to the existing installation of the SMS Server software (which is operating with Ubuntu12 VPS server with Webmin installed)

I have read this api manual and realized that there is no way to get/select channel for sms received/sended. SMPP will not allow to do that too. As i know goip devices not very reliable for sms (sometimes they just miss them), I even contacted hybertone support but no success. Possible to use asterisk (goip can send/receive sms via sip and it send channel number). And http post request to send sms (it allow select channel).

Hi, I do have 8 years of experience with SMSC. I have configured various SMS servers and also maintaining them too. I have gone through your requirement and its possible with both the options. 1. Using Existing system 2. Installing a new one. Let me explain in detail what we need to do in both cases. Case 1.( Using existing system ): Will go with this solution if you are happy with its performance and its user friendly also. We have two possible way to achieve it. A. break TRX(transceiver TX+RX) session with GOIP into two different sessions TX and RX then RX will bind with your solution and TX with mine. Mine solution will give you a API on same IP with a port and an extra parameter using which you can select GOIP TX session whom you want to forward the SMS. B. Mine application will bind with GOIP in TRX mode. Your system will bind with mine over SMPP Rest and send SMS towards desired GOIP. Case II ( Using new system ) : this will be just a part of above solution all will be taken care by my solution. But my solution is completely command prompt based. But if you need we can do something for GUI to at-least MT sms routing modification towards a desired GOIP for a MO SMS received on a particular GOIP session. I can implement it fast for you.
