I help small business with their software development needs. I am currently looking for a free lancer migrate a Microsoft Access database application to the web. After consulting with you, I think that MySQL should be the database as a back-end. Although, I am open to other solutions. Overview To simplify the management process for 3 companies. Management has decided to explore the development of an application that will support all three organizations in their daily, weekly, and seasonal activities. Currently information is held in 3 different platforms. Company A: Filemaker Company B: Access Company C: Excel spreadsheets Databases will need to be populated with the data that already exists in the platforms. All fields should have auto search enabled with possibility of adding on the fly when rights are given to add contact, services, etc. This document will outline the different requirements and interfaces required to streamline these processes. Basic Requirements The following are the minimal requirements for this application.  Interface design should simplify access to data  User management including password reset via email.  Email support. Alerts, invitations and confirmations will be done automatically. There shouldn’t be any requirement for users to use external software to send emails.  Certain interfaces will be optimized for desktop, tablet or mobile.  The system should be able to handle a minimum of 50 users per hour.  Period reporting should be enabled automatically without user intervention (weekly reports, tour guide calendars, etc.)  Database should be open source if possible.  Since these companies work in a multilingual environment, the option to select the users’ preferred languages is essential.  Ability to export data should be available to upper end users. 2020-01-31: The project will be divided into two portions. The first is to capture and manage the data. The second will be all the reporting and the guide/supplier interface.
