Deleting an RDS instance is a simple activity. The only question is, do you need the data archived anywhere? If so I'll be sure to do that first.

I've completed a PHP application that uses scripts (Python) for terminating and eventually removing instances of EC2, VPC and scaling. I believe removing an RDS instance involves the same approach where the instance has to be completely stopped before deletion. Let me know if you're interested.

I understand that you want to delete an RDS instance. I have been working on AWS for the past 3 years and I have hosted and migrated many websites based on my client's requirement and budget. Outline; After the necessary login details are provided, I would be making a copy of the contents in the instance as a backup and would be terminating the instance. I have been working on Amazon AWS Platform since last 1 year. Currently working on Amazon EC2 , RDS, S3, Glacier services for US and UK based client. Installed , Setup & Migrated PHP+ MySQL+Apache+Varnish+Memcached , JAVA + Tomcat projects on AWS EC2 instances Setup VPC and created private RDS instances in it and attached to EC2 instances on which Application /Web Servers are running for Client to Access Data. Setup Amazon Glacier, S3 for backup and archive process linked to EC2 instances as well as Glacier is also setup for other hosting Providers VPS servers. Setup IAM integrated with Cognito for Identity Federation to allow users to use Google login to access AWS Resources.
