1. (re-)define the metamodel in Ecore 2. use the EMF for defining basic edit actions and editors 3. Develop (in Java) the GUI for the editor (or use the Graphical Modeling Framework) 4. Associate the actions and the interactions So, the environment must provide: A. Possibility of defining specific feature models as instances of the metamodel B. Possibility of configuring a basic interactive editor for feature models to the specific ones defined via A. C. Possibility of creating instance models based on the feature models.
