hi, I guessed that your nginx is working as reversed proxy server, and it streams video from backend servers. So, if your backend servers can support API/patricular URL to get expected resolutions then you can define some locations/path to use appropriate resolutions. For example: location /videos/ { #default resolution => get default url from backend } localtion /videos/240p {#get resolution 240p => url to backend: https://backend_name/video?resolution=260p } and then you can define many paths to get expected resolution.
