I am looking for a developer to develop a webpage for me that works in Chrome (Win, Mac, Android) and Safari (Mac and iOS) - requiring no plug-ins. This webpage allows a user to choose to record (1) Video (with audio); or (2) Audio alone as an MP3. The video and audio should be transcribed using Amazon Transcribe... then saved in Amazon S3 with the filename, transcription and metadata (such as duration) stored in my MySQL database. Formats: - Video files should be MP4 H.264 and audio with AAC - Audio files should be MP3 (24kHz, 48Kbps) The webpage should accept the following parameters: - transcribe (1 or 0... if 1 then transcribe); - path (name of the directory in S3 where the file should be saved); - finish (url to go when finished); - multiple (1 or 0... if 1 then after recording, ask the user if they want to record another) Please generate a random GUID for the filename(s). Once finished recording, I need you to send those filename(s) to the designated URL. I can provide access to web server running php/mysql... with a domain with SSL... and access to my AWS account so you can get to S3/Transcribe. Project will be awarded to the developer who has relevant experience and can complete this project in the shortest amount of time at a reasonable price. Ideally, I would like to award this project within the next few hours and have it completed within 2 days. Payment in full upon completion and delivery of commented source files.

Hi, This is a surprisingly interesting project. I've worked with video-based sites before, even with live video and I have large experience with Amazon Web Services (like S3, EC2 even some with Polly) and I was always eager to try out Transcribe. My plan for this project is the following: 1) the user can record a video or audio, using html5's getusermedia (No plugin required and supports every major browser, except Internet Explorer. Other options might be simpler, but not supported by Safari.) 2) save the raw media file. (+Prepare the process.) 3) At the server side we transcode the video/audio into the proper format (using ffmpeg.) (If it's a video and we need it transcribed, we also copy the audio into a separate file.) 4) We send in the audio file to transcribe to amazon via the rest api. 5) When its done, we save the data to S3 (and insert the details into the database.) I have the following questions about the project: 1) Do you have design requirements or it's an embedded solution. (The parameters: is it a checkbox or just a parameter in the url.) 2) Does transcoding and transcribing need to happen while the user waits or in the background? 3) Whats the expected length of these videos?
