GPS. Location is depend on the internet! Depends on your app's functionality. You are able to get current region by internet also or you can get it by using GPS. In this regard, if we follow proper guide lines then we will definitely overcome the app shutting down problem in Offline. Apple documentation says. The significant-change location service is highly recommended for apps that do not need high-precision location data. With this service, location updates are generated only when the user’s location changes significantly; thus, it is ideal for social apps or apps that provide the user with noncritical, location-relevant information. If the app is suspended when an update occurs, the system wakes it up in the background to handle the update. If the app starts this service and is then terminated, the system relaunches the app automatically when a new location becomes available. This service is available in newer iOS version, and it is available only on devices that contain a cellular radio. I think this will be apt for your scenario. As a solution, what we can do is set an accuracy with more or less than 500m. I have tested it. First of all I searched a lot in google and somewhere I found that it is working but I didn't believe it because as per apple security guidelines it seems not possible so I applied it in my code and test it. And the result is awesome. It saves all location data in plist locally when the app is even force quit by user, so we can see it once.
