We need some CUSTOM Configuration to Fit Our Needs:
What you have to know about the ecommerce shop:
1. All Vendors are sellings the same products at the same price. You have to configure the plugin so that the same product can be sold by multiple vendors. (right now, the default is that one product is sold by only one vendor)
2. All Vendors are part of the same group of company, but they are just different managers, so they just have different bank accounts, locations, payment methods etc. Thats why we are using the multivendor marketplace.
3. Configure the plugin so that when a guest buys a product then:
Guest should be able at the checkout to do the following:
- Pick the vendor of his choice if he wants to pick up the order from the store
- Automatically get the closest vendor to him (via area code) to ship him the product (we need this to be configured so that it will be calculated automatically)
- Pay directly the vendor selected (already can do it with paypal, or cash, we may need config in a greek bank later)
4. The vendor should be informed for every new order, should be able to login and see the reports (already can do it via the plugin, no config in this).
More:
There are 31 vendors (actually 31 shops which are selling the same products) in the same country, just in different locations.
We will give another example on how we want this to work.
We add a product to the eshop and we assign it to ALL VENDORS (shops).
A guest put a product to his cart and goes to checkout. The guest lives in NEW YORK. Automatically the system should give him the option to: a) pick up the order from the New York Vendor (not from the Los Angeles vendor for example) and b) if the guest chooses the shipping method then the order will be send to the NEW YORK vendor which is CLOSER to the guest.
The guest should pay the New yorker vendor directly.
Thats all we want actually.
