add latest blog posts + images to frontpage of magento site

I have a magento site running on 1.8.1 community and have fishpig wordpress blog extension installed and working. I also have "latest posts" displaying on front page but with images and not in a style I like. I would like someone to : Display 3 or 4 latest blog posts OR 3 /4 posts from a specific category (such as front page posts) on the front page The posts must display an image and text snippet with read more and fit in nicely with the style of the site. IMPORTANT - it must also be RESPONSIVE This obviously is not a huge job and is mostly CSS , as I already have the extension working and latest posts displaying so please only quote reasonable amounts for this.
