Deliver photos in XML feed to Wordpress via Amazon S3

I have a real estate site in development at [login to view URL] using WPallImport to import property XML feeds; feeds include a large number of images that I don't want to store on my server so need to find a way to get them from the XML feed to Amazon S3 and then to property listings. I'm happy to store temporarily store whilst uploading to S3 but will have to delete post import automatically. As it's Wordpress and plugins I don't want anything that will impact on updating themes or plugins.
