If the Database records give me support then it is not a task of more than 8 hours. So, better to check with Database first that there is any date or not. May you can confirm as you insert the post I guess. Another point may create issue that how you have coded but it seems can be manageable. Please do not award now before a quick discussion. Assuming, you have a custom post type that has a date field. You want to add a searching with Datepicker in this page. Adding a filter follows simple logic, i.e. I will first create the date picker and then catch the submit of the filter, just change POST_TYPE to the name of your post type and META_KEY to the name of your meta key. I will add additional filters to your website via the use of two hooks: restrict_manage_posts, pre_get_posts. restrict_manage_posts : The Filter button allows sorting by date and/or category on the Posts list table, and sorting by date on the Pages list table. The pre_get_postsfilter has access to the current query before it is executed by WordPress. Whatever, just a quick thought, the mock-up you have prepared the look and feel is not matching with your current theme. May, this is just to give an idea. Are you sure you do not need a date range option? I think it is required too for filtering post between a date. I am open to start immediately, so ping me today.
