Required skills would include understanding of wp query manipulation and likely joins to create a custom breadcrumb utilzing only the original item and creating breadcrumbs 4 levels deep. For example: Item slug: 'carrot-bread' joining a meta_key/meta_value where its == '<number>' and its slug = 'bread' using the item slug 'bread' joining a meta_key/meta_value where its =='<number>' and its slug = 'recipes' ... and perhaps one level more.. dependent upon the item.
