Create API to Import and Export Custom Fields in BigCommerce

We are wanting to import/export custom product attributes to our BigCommerce store using API so that the product detail page will display these custom product attributes in its own tab. We are looking for a working solution that we can use on our own, and one that does not require special assistance every time we want to import custom fields. We sell clothing, and need to import/export created custom fields for each item such as label, material, size, colour, country of manufacture etc. This is BigCommerce's API page on this.
