Convert PHP function to PERL script

We have a very simple PHP script that is 55 lines of code. Would like to find someone to assist in converting it to PERL so we have both versions. The PHP function takes a text string and encrypts / encodes it and returns the encrypted/encoded string. We will provide the code to the person who is available today and has experience in converting PHP to PERL and understands PHP and PERL thoroughly.
