our buddypress system was custom coded to do the following: -allow anyone to sign up for free and browse basic profiles on the system. -users who sign up identify themselves as one of three user types (user groups) (user group 1, user group 2, user group 3) -only 'basic' profile information of members can be seen by both non-registered users and registered (non upgraded) users -when a user upgrades their membership via payment, they can see both 'basic' and 'extended' profile data of other members and can private message anyone on the system -members who do not upgrade cannot send a private message to any member and cannot see 'extended' profile data other member profiles unless they upgrade via paymenttheir memberships our system was working fine (and was ready to launch) until our programmer made some changes overwriting a lot of this functionality. our programmer has become unresponsive and we can no longer reach them. we seek assistance in fixing these issues. The following plugins were customized: - BuddyPress - Bp Profile Search - BP Registration Options - maybe WP core, I'm not sure the issue with this is each time these plugins require an update, it can't be done automatically without the customizations being lost (requiring manual upgrade). i'm also not sure if WP core was modified (i would think not but i'm simply not sure). here are our present issues: sign up -member sign up form previously showed fields only for the member group selected. now fields fr

I may need to get details on some parts after the project starts. I will try to write most of the code in a plugin in order to keep your application upgrade safe. from the details you provided, I am afraid that some parts require modification of BuddyPress core. I will let you know about those parts. I have been developing BuddyPress for 4 years. I developed some plugins for it.
