Overview
An internet-based Booking Engine (IBE) to book handy-man and other service staff (named professionals) for service activities at home/office by the hour.
Background:
The booking engine should bring together
* Costumers with a special service demand and
* Professionals who can perform the requested service
The professionals define the days and times in a weekly overview when they want work for customers.
They can plan, manage and change the working days/hours independently.
Booking - Process:
Website visitors (interested person, customers), who want to book a service, can view the weekly overview calendar and choose day and time shown as free for booking. Days and times where no professionals planned to work should be shown as booked.
For booking the interested person has to register (name, address, phone-nr., etc.).
After registration the interested person or an existing customer can login in the customer area.
Then he can book service/day/time, pays directly by credit card, PayPal, etc., while
the customer’s data are stored in a database.
At the time of booking, only a pre-authorization of the payment should be processed. The final payment should be done if the professional confirms the completion of the booked service.
If the order is in the system (database), the professional gets an info and can take the order.
Then the professional gets the client's data, and the customer gets an info (email).
Payments from the Booking portal to the professionals should be made every 2 weeks, with a monthly and yearly overview.
Requirements:
The IBE should have access to the professionals database and allow to categorize in the desired criteria.
The data sources (professionals, time, etc.) should be merged in a database (??cloud/metasearch??).
The database should meet the criteria of the target-group-specific work-offer according to the list of criteria (Geodata, trade, profession, time, etc.).
The database content should be translated into different languages, which will be defined.
The website itself should be available in two languages at the beginning, but should have the possibility to extend to more languages.
After receiving the proposals/quote, an extensive specification of the project will be provided.
Certification of competence is required.
