Project Objective To automate our build and release of .Net project for development, QA and Production Server • Automatically build our web project on every checking. - (Build should trigger from TFS or Jenkins) • Automatically deploy green builds to development and/or test environments. - (across domains) • Automated deployment for Databases (mainly MSSQL 2008) This will be applicable for all the projects in MediAffinity. DURATION 3 Months TECHNICAL ASPECTS • Source code will be available in TFS • Build and Deployment should be done using continuous integration software tools like Jenkins, PowerShell etc. MILESTONES • Automate Development server build and release • Migrate the automation for QA, once tested and signed off from Development Server • Migrate the automation for Production, once signed off from QA Server EXPERIENCE LEVEL / EXPERTISE REQUIRED FROM A RESOURCE PERSPECTIVE • 8+ years of experience • Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) administration, TFS 2010 preferred • Ability to setup, configure, and manage application tier and build servers • Administration of version control, Team Build definitions, work items, security • Building and packaging of .NET websites, Windows services, WCF services

We can use the Teamcity (like Jenkins) for continuous integration. it is just a awesome tool for batch file integration, Powershell command scripting, inbuild configuration. It will work with TFS 2010 and have a better checkout rules for different branches. It can the parallel build to development servers as well QA test servers. so build wil be dependent on the compilation of your code if it is successfull then it will run parellel. Also have good notification for email while start build, build failure notify to developers who made checkins between builds. Also have good UI interface.
