I have done similar things before. I refactored a Django (python based web- framework) form into a form with angularJS enabled where the form cache all the data at front end. Since the browser can afford high workload so as long as the data is being fetched properly the search function will be processed at front end itself. With this being said, angularJS framework will be added. The table also can be designed with pagination enabled which would be more user friendly.
