well, it depends on how complex the java algorithm you said. i can't tell you how many days it will take before knowing the detail requirement specification. here's some options based on my experience: 1. if the algorithm is simple & not resource intensive, we can implement it in php. 2. otherwise, using web service is a better option. technically, your algorithm is still in java but exposed as a service that can be reached using web/http. your php code may invoke the java web service. there might be some adjustment in business logic
