This project is to update and clean up a job board web site which runs on an apache server, LAMP enviroment, PHP and Mysql with 150,000 records - 120 tables (resumes).
I want to bring this old web site to the new Web 2.0 environment. The site site is using Ajax, php5, mysql5, Smarty. Very minimum graphics with a professional design.
Update a comprehensive ADMIN panel to maintain this website without the need for a webmaster for simple tasks. There is a need to integrate this website with payment gateways like GoogleCheckout, 2checkout, Pay Pal, and Authorise.
Minimum graphics, no flash, no video, RSS implementation.
The site is divided in four main modules; the Employers, Candidates, forums and Administration panel.
Employers post jobs, candidates search jobs and submit resumes.
JOB SEARCH ENGINE -Optimize, create a faster job search engine.
STATS -Keep track of statistics, jobs posted,jobs closed, open, number of times a job is viewed, how many candidates applied to a job, etc.
CRONS -Implementation of cron-job scripts that match jobs to candidates. Require login when applying to a job.
DOCUMENT CODE - Document and comment and separate all code in a clear detailed way.
HELP - Develop a simple Help screens.
NEWSLETTER TEMPLATES - Use current scripts to schedule newsletters to candidates, employers.
-MYSQL -Optimize current dbases, add tables, and set for future expansion.
-Integrate existing php application Vbulletin.
-Develop a Private Discussion Board similar to Guru's
-Suggest ways to improve site.
implement RSS to syndicate job positions.
Implement Ajax as much as possible in form and others.
