Hi, I'm currently working on a project and need to subcontract the following
Dimdim open source installation
We hit a snag installing Dimdim on a 32 bit centos 5.3 or 5.4
1. We had some issues with iptables and ports as dimdim needs :80 to listen and our apache server is located on that port.
2. There was no support on some JDK components and installation. And above all it would be a problem when updating the server or the system
3. Incompatibility with openoffice .org 3.0 as dimdim opensource is made for that specific version
As a result we turned to Bigbluebutton
1. It all installed alright except
a. Problem with activemq – it doesn't start – and it doesn't show the OK prompt
b. Problem with the localhost / ipaddress in the config files
c. JDK utils says that its deprecated
It's not like something I haven't come across, just that I don't have the time to fix it all. I work 16 hrs a day.
And I would like to install Opensim as well. I would like it to be installed as a standalone instead of the grid.
