# **Overview** Full detailed requirement and a layout scheme for the site will be provided to the chosen developer. Design had already been done and developer will get the PSD and even the html cuts from us once we start working. The site is aimed to be a shoe review and shoe discount website. It will be constantly updated with the latest offers and shoes from a variety of about 20-30 online shops worldwide. The goal is to create an amazing looking modern website that will look appealing for both women and men. There will be a search mechanism built into the site that will allow smart shoe searches for people coming to the site with several parameters to search by (i.e. shoe style, Man/Woman shoes, Color etc). More information about the search requirements will appear later on in this document. ## Deliverables ## Technology The site shall be written in Wordpress 3.2 which is PHP5 based using a MySQL database (we use only linux based hosting). We believe that wordpress would serve it best and from our checks 80-90% of requirements can be filled using existing extensions. The site will integrate custom coded elements (detailed later on) and we require them to be smoothly added to the site. An example is a custom search and a long tail search results mechanism (we will provide full details). The site will allow users to join our newsletter. We are using Interspire email marketer and we require its form to be added to the site (can be simply done in an HTML widget if needed). ## SEO Elements We will detail a full list of SEO requirements from the website later on but as an overview we will require: - Seo friendly URLs - SEO friendly 404/403/500 pages. - Forcing a www. In front of the domain. - Preset page template (detailed later on). - Search tracking in the site with use of a smart long tail mechanism (detailed later) - Search tracking for referral traffic (from search engines to the site) (detailed later) ## Main elements The main elements on the website will be: - Quick shoe search widget - Top navigation bar (my account, about us etc) - Top menu bar (home, woman shoes, man shoes, girl shoes, boy shoes, baby shoes etc..) - Search (site wide text search box) - Email signup widget - Follow us on? widget (Twitter, facebook, Google+) - Based on the visitor's IP his country's flag shall be shown (designer to pick where). - Google translate will be added to the site (it's a drop down that allows you to choose the translation language). - Logo set of the shops we resell for (i.e. [login to view URL], [login to view URL] etc logos) - Famous shoe brands logos (nike, puma, crocs etc) - clickable and will take to search results that match that brand. - Shoe display pages - all should be sortable by price (low to high, high to low), popularity and by Name. - Shoe display page - should have a clear indicator of how many search results there are. - Shoe display page - should have a paging element with a clear indicator of the page we are at, with page numbers, first, last and so on. - Payment methods logo (all - visa, mastercard, discovery, paypal, etc) - probably on the bottom of the site. - Trust/secure icon (see the "secure shopping" over at<[login to view URL]> ) it's really not a real service but rather a nice logo/icon indicating the site is trust worthy. Preferably use a shield icon in it and a lock icon). - "Latest searches" - logic will be explained later on. This widget will show a mixture of in site searches and referral searches that brought people to the site. It will look and act like a word cloud (more searches = bigger font) and will link to the search result. It will contain 20 top searches. - A multi-page site map (dynamic, up to date and build from a number of sitemap pages, each containing up to 100 links with the last link linking to the next sitemap). - Mini site map above the footer (with SEO links to some of the categories and sub categories).
