How To Rewrite URL in php using htaccess file with slug

I have a just a little problem in getting my SLUG to work...
All my files are in the same DIR.
I'm trying to clean up my URL.
FROM THIS
http://localhost/project/[url removed, login to view]
TO THIS
http://localhost/project/post/come-ge-me-then
This is what i have on ([url removed, login to view])
<?php echo "<a href='post/$slug'>$title</a>"?
This is what i have on [url removed, login to view]
$slug = $_GET['slug'];
$sql = "select * from blog WHERE slug='$slug'";
This is what i have in my .htaccess
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $[url removed, login to view]
RewriteRule ^post/(.*)$ [url removed, login to view]$1 [L]
</IfModule>

Hello, apart from the slug I would also suggest that you take a look at sql injection. It is important that the input $_GET['slug'] is sanitised.
