PHP/MySQL Freelancers

We are currently looking for experienced PHP/MySQL/AJAX developers to potentially work on potentially several projects with us and establishing an ongoing relationship for future work. We would ask that ONLY uk based freelancers apply and within a commutable distance of London for any occasional meetings that may need to take place. Technical experience needed:- - Object orientated PHP as well as standard PHP scripting. - Particular attention to W3C standards and building accessible sites (potentially supporting multiple languages) - Must be well versed in AJAX and Web 2.0 technologies, practices and patterns. - Mastery of CSS and Javascript to allow rich site experience without requiring Flash - Must have experience developing bespoke CMS Driven websites using and developing CMS driven sites using popular frameworks (Expression, Drupal, etc) - Good relational database design skills (MySQL essential) - experience running PHP on Apache and IIS regarding installation, configuration and troubleshooting - Happy to work on other peoples code/extend existing systems as well as work from scratch Personal qualities:- - Ability to REALISTICALLY gauge project timescales from scope documents. (this is an absolute must - we would rather set a later deadline and hit it than set one too early and miss it). - Happy to work on the basis of fixed price projects with hourly rates between £20-30. - Commutable Proximity to London, UK for face to face meetings. - Able to produce and provide documentation when required (full specification documents from scope exercises, user manuals, admin manuals) - must be available to answer or return emails and/or telephone calls from us fairly promptly and be happy to liaise with our clients as one of our staff (using provided email address) during projects or pre-sales/tendering process. Preferable (but non essential) skills:- - The artistic flair for HTML design and site/web interface design. - Experience with Microsoft web technologies (sql, iis, .net, asp, sharepoint, etc) - someone with a good code library who can turn around projects fairly quickly. - A real plus if you have Wowzer server implementation experience or worked with sites that use media streaming. We would ask that anyone who applies, please provide the following:- - Examples of your work (sites worked on previously), testimonials, or the ability to provide references whom can be contacted. - A PHP source code example which MUST include some form of SQL statement or transaction - A copy of a database diagram you have designed and a brief high level description of the product/site. Preferably from the same site as the code snippet. - (if available) A sample of any documentation you have written in regards to user documentation, api tech doc, admin guides or scope documents We will shortlist developers who best match the requirements laid out above and then ask those chosen to provide a short technical brief and mock quotation to a functional spec that we will provide.
