Hi, I bought a PHP based control panel which is made for free hosting that offers free subdomain/domain signups. I haven't installed it yet on my server as want it modified and that's why I need you. =========================== Panel Demo can be sent at: =========================== [login to view URL] I've also attached it's main files (90% of the script) so you can see if you can do this. ================================ Description of problem: ================================ There's many features I want added, but I'll ask one for a start. Script uses a/b/c method in the vhosts folder in order to overcome that linux filesystem 32,576 subdirs in a dir limit. (This way one can have more then 32K members.) Eg: If a member creates a domain called "test", it is created in /t/e/s/[login to view URL] If another member creates a domain called "testom", it is created in /t/e/s/[login to view URL] As you can see, eventually if there's 32,576 domains that start with "tes", it will spell disaster as no more could be created. ================================ What I need you to do: ================================ I need the a/b/c technique of account storage improved, as it still has it's limits. Perhaps expand it to /a/b/c/d or whichever other method you know of in order for it to support millions of accounts. My host gets 2K-10K new members per day so 1 million accounts is less then a year. I think the a/b/c is coded in the /wkscripts/[login to view URL] file (see attachement). However that function may be spread across more files. So you'll need to look over the files. Ofcourse you'll need to test it throughly. ================================ Things to keep in mind: ================================ The modification should've interfear for script to support server clustering or anything else that's important in the script. Thanks. Andre ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
