300817 Website for tests/quizzes

This is basically a rework of an app that I wrote in VB a few years ago, and now needs upgrade for using through a web-browser interface. I have already a website running PHP/MySQL under Linux, so those are part of the requirements. There will be three kinds of people using the PHP script: Admin, supervisors, and candidates. Admin use cases: (This will be me!) - Login. - Track supervisor usage /statistics. - Create/upgrade/disable/delete accounts for Companies - Assign supervisors/users under each company. - Optional - Backup tables in the database, although I can always do on my own. - Optional - I'm thinking about it, but it's unlikely, that the admin should have all the permissions of the other two groups. At least during the testing of the script. Supervisor use cases: - Login. The admin will determine who can register as a supervisor/user. - List all candidates with personal info in table for printing. - Optional - Exporting the info to Excel/CVS would also be good, but not essential. - Create and delete candidates w/personal info, and their results. - Able to enter the candidate's personal data in the fields through some kind of form. Form validation is required. - Apply the tests to the candidate as explained later on this project description. - Collect the results of the four tests, process and generate a text report with simple graphs using any PHP graph tool. All texts in the report are pre-configured and based on the scoring the candidate has in each of the tests. Each test is a block of text/graph within the overall candidate report. The report texts should be editable. The graphs should not. - Create on the fly a pdf file for saving/printing/e-mailing the report to someone else. (pflib? or something else) Candidate use cases: - Take each test, then advise supervisor. The tests: Test A - 30 multiple choice questions. Should be very easy to implement. Test B - 24 multiple selection questions - Not quite sure about the form. Will decide upon award. Test C - Might need JavaScript or flash - Candidate is to choose in order 8 different images that will disappear from the screen, then do it a second time. My calculation algorythm is a bit complicated. Might be able to figure out something easier. Test D - 10 series with varying questions. Each series is timed, and the window should close once the time is up. Scoring is done simply by adding the correct answers in each series. I am planning to add more tests later on. The structure varies for each test, but most of them would be multiple choice. There's potential to add up to four or five more tests in subsequent projects. Budget is currently a bit limited, and coming out of my own pocket, so please be considerate.
