------------------------------ RULES OF ENGAGEMENT: FOR COMPUMATTER, LLC. PLEASE REVIEW CAREFULLY PRIOR TO BIDDING ------------------------------ TIME TO COMPLETE PROJECT: --------------------------------------------------------------------- 10 Days till completion is requested. This is because this the graphics and oscommerce needs are for the most part, complete. This project is mainly a customization of oscommerce and otherwise fairly typical integration of layers and pages. A 10% reduction in quote must be agreed upon for every 2 days beyond the agreed upon time to complete. So if it takes you 12 days, we will reduce the quote by 10%, 14 days, 20% and so on, up to 50% of the project quote. Please be sure to understand the project completely so we may both avoid overruns on agreed upon deadlines. We cannot negotiate this agreement at a later date. DIMENSIONS: -------------------------------------- The complete website dimensions must be 990 px wide by 650 px high as is supplied in the example MENUS / NAVIGATION: ------------------- Navigation menus must be incorporated in the layout. They must be easily identifiable. They can be either horizontally or vertically oriented. You do not have to allow for both a top menu and a side one. One or the other is acceptable. Both a top and bottom menu is also acceptable but not required for most projects. COPYRIGHT ISSUES: -------------------------------------- There can be no copyright infringements. That graphic you provide for this website design must not be copied from another source as this might result in embarrasement for us and our client. The work that you create for CompuMatter becomes the property of CompuMatter. Works created for CompuMatter and its clients can not be resold to other clients as a template for their own websites or other printed material. COMMUNICATION: -------------------------------------- This is very important due to the nature of outsourcing and the varying countries involved. All written communication must be done via email within the the GAF website. This provides accountability for all parties and insures disputes can be resolved based on that information if they were to occur. CompuMatter requires that you provide us with an email update on your progress of this project at least every 48 hours. CompuMatter requires that you respond to any emails we send you within 24 hours. CompuMatter uses Skype regularly to communicate with developers and staff. We enjoy working with developers who also use Skype Video and chat. If you are interested in a long term relationship with our company, we suggest you become comfortable with Skype Video and chat. ESCROW DEPOSIT I: At the time you have won our project, we will deposit 50% of the project bid in your escrow account. OSCOMMERCE FUNCTIONALITY - Phase I: -------------------------------------- Phase 1 for you will be to integrate the remaining aspects of the customers oscommerce shopping cart into the front end of their new website. When this is done the evidence will be a working model of the oscommerce shopping cart. It is important to note that a custom addition to this oscommerce called 'Package Deals' was created for their previous website ([login to view URL]) and will be utilized here as well. There is not additional setup required for you but we want to make sure you don't miss it since it's not a standard oscommerce feature. At the time this oscommerce functionality is evident, the 25% escrow will be released. --------- ESCROW PAYMENT RELEASED 25% ESCROW DEPOSIT II: We will deposit the remaining 50% of the project bid in your escrow account (leaving a total of 75% unpaid but 100% in escrow). FUNCTIONALITY - Phase II: -------------------------------------- This phase will be about the Thruster Finder Tool. Upon completion, the Thruster Finder Tool should be completed as spelled out in the Flow Chart. It should be able to be accessed from every page in the site and be hidden if closed and appear if requested. It should appear at the location presented on the [login to view URL] example. The remaining pages should also be added in Phase II as spelled out in the flow chart. PROOFING STAGE I: -------------------------------------- We will then review the attached work and consider its readiness. If we feel it needs further adjustments, we may require that you make these adjustments and then resubmit the work. If Phase I of the Oscommerce was properly done, this step should be fairly minimal, however, you must bear in mind it is the very first time we have seen the finished product and it is typical for further adjustments to be performed. Once Proofing Stage I has been approved we will release another 25% of the project quote to you. --------- ESCROW PAYMENT RELEASED 25% PROOFING STAGE II: -------------------------------------- We will then take this refined design and make an appointment with our customer, the client. It is our hope the client will give us his immediately approval. However, it is possible they may require adjustments to the design. If they do, we will resubmit these needs to you for final corrective adjustments as the client requires. This is of course requiring the clients requirements are within the guidelines we provided you in the Flow Chart. Once we have received final client approval we will release the remaining 50% of the escrowed funds. Our client approvals of your designs will take place no later than 5 days from the time we receive your most recent completed work. If 5 days have elapsed and we have not emailed you with our final needs, we will be obligated to release the remaining 50% escrow to you immediately.
