Joomla Component Customization and Creation

Prior to showing you the details of the project(s) I would like to take a moment and explain the purpose, functions and my needs of the project overall. Having a great understanding of these things is vital to making the project work both for me and for you. First of all the website will be a Job based site that allows both Job Seekers and Employers different functionality. Similar to that of [login to view URL] or [login to view URL], if you are not familiar with either I would get acquainted. I would also familiarize myself with [login to view URL] if you are not already as it will be similar in some aspects to all three of these sites. Finally please understand that a great knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Ajax, Java and other web based languages is necessary, if you do not posess all of these skill please let me know up front so we can either work around it or I can find someone who can. << No hard feelings. Payment can be done multiple ways: (In order of personal preference) 1. Payment upon project completion with provided (WORKING) examples based on the information to be disclosed. 2. Payment at progress states (Each to be documented and provide a demonstration of functionality) 3. Payment based on income. (Meaning if you see the potential you and I work together to create something great and split profits based on a contract) My personal preference is to do (3.) as it will help me build a relationship with the developer and establish good working habits and a strong backbone for the company. Project Details: I am in need of multiple customizations to existing components as well as non-existing components. All of which will be Joomla 1.5.x based and need attention before the first of the new year. Below is a list of needs which all of which should be met. Communication and constant progress updates are KEY to winning the bid. Upon completion additional work will be needed to both maintain and customize the site so I am looking to establish a GOOD working relationship with the freelancer. Someone who is capable of writing and understanding English very well is also a MUST! All projects will be listed based on priority: Priority (1): Community Builder customizations a. Dual User Groups upon signup/registration (Job Seekers) (Employers) b. Each User Group should have their own custom registration process with fields that pretain to that User Group only. c. Tabs should also have limited access when viewed by the opposite user group. <<< More detailed information to follow as to which tabs are viewable and which are not. d. Upon completion of Registration each User Group should be assigned to its own Joomla Access Group. JobSeekers - JobSeekers and Employers - Employers <<< This will help control who has access to different portions of the site. (More detailed information to follow) e. Customization of the Community Builder template when a user selects the edit button: Instead of being in a tabbed format I want headers which each would be collapsable by clicking a Minimize/Maximize button. Similar to a Windows Window. Priority (2): Mosets/AEC customization project a. Currently we are using Mosets to display available jobs which has been integrate into AEC to handle the purchase of listings. This works well but the purchase process is sloppy and needs some help. b. An example of what we want our AEC Purchase Process to resemble: [login to view URL] When a user clicks signup the slide that occurs and displays the signup form should actually display two icons with some brief information. The icons should read (Job Seeker) and (Employer) upon selection each ones customized registration page should slide down in a moo-effect and allow them to register. c. When the slide happens it should be broken down into two steps. 1. Registration Process - Should complete the registration form and then directly below move to step (2.) 2. Listing Selection Process - Should select both the listing amount and disply time (30Days, 60Days, 90Days) View a similar demo here: [login to view URL] then click on Host A Domain to see how we want it to function or similarly. d. After all is complete the user will be redirect through AEC’s payment process and purchase their listings. e. The listings should also be automatically “un-Published” at the specified date selected. (NOT DELETED) f. An e-mail should be sent (5) days before the users listing expires which would give them an opportunity to extend their listing by (30, 60, 90 Days) Priority (3): Groupjive Modifications a. Change the layout of the main Groupjive page (Tabs: My Groups “displays the logged in users belonging groups", Group Directory “A paginated list of all groups" with search and sorting by category, Create A Group “Opens a Group Creation Page" b. Needs to work WELL with J1.5.x c. Add more fields upon group completion 1. Group Website 2. Summary - to be displayed in CB Tab and in My Groups Tab 3. Full Description d. Add ability for users to post NEWs Articles in each group. e. Add a discussion board for each group (No integrations) something small and lightweight. f. Updates to the Group - should display new news, new discussions on discussion board, new members.. etc g. Event capablity with Date, Location, Time, Manager.. etc h. All above should be in tabbed format like at [login to view URL] ^^ Similar Clone to link above. Priority (4): User Listing Update Component/Plugin a. Need a component which allows each Job Seeker the ability to be notified about newly posted listing in Mosets Tree which match his/her prefferences. These prefferences should be selected through some sort of list. Look here for an example: [login to view URL] Username: Password: apple1982 Then to this link: [login to view URL];operation=add << they call it "My Job Alerts" and it allows the user to create several different ones. I want the same functionality. b. The user should also be given a CB_Plugin that displays the job alerts which should be sortable based on (Day, Week, Month, Year). c. And should provide some detailed information about the job (Link to lisitng, Company Name, Rate of pay, Location, brief description 50 - 100words) d. User should also be sent an e-mail when they receive new job alerts and should be given the option of how frequently they want to receive them Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly.... Priority (5): Parainvite Customization a. I would like parainvite to reflect the invite process at: [login to view URL] but to utilize some sort of mootools transition between tabs and reduce the page loads to none if possible so that each aspect of the program opens in a tab.
