Java Swing/SWT developper - long term

Our product is a user-friendly software for shop keepers, enabling them to easily publish their catalog on the Internet and receive orders. The look and feel of the application is close to an Instant Messaging software, except that orders are popping up, instead of chat messages. We are looking for a long-term relationship with a Java programmer to join the team developping the flagship product. The candidate will interact frequently with the person in charge of the project, and his work will be critical for the success of the project. The ideal candidate will be ranked first in a Java test that will consist in designing a fully working GUI application, followed by an interview with the project architect. He will also be available at least 30 hrs/week and for regular business trips to the company headquarters located in the South of France. Requirements: - 4 years of experience or more in Java programming - Good knowledge of either Swing or SWT - Available at least 30 hrs/week for the next 6 months - Independent freelance (no company) Other skills: - Good English communication Important: - Please indicate your expected hourly rate in the bid. - The selected freelancer will be paid through RAC bonuses, the company will cover the transfer fees. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
