Overview: This project requires knowledge of popular employment websites such as [login to view URL] and [login to view URL], and other popular social websites such as [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] Objective: Develop an employment website similar to [login to view URL] and [login to view URL], but with some added features. Project Details: Start with a base monster/hotjobs clone. The add the following features/details: Add internships and co-ops to job types Credit card processing through AuthorizeNet, PayPal, and Google Checkout. A briefcase for file storage, with ActiveX drag and drop functionality. Permission settings, all files and resumes must have permission/sharing settings, allowing the user to choose who to share the information with. Customizable resumes similar to [login to view URL], allowing user to choose from different backgrounds and templates, and choose which information to show and where. Fully customizable, add pictures, video, text, colors, etc.. Video Resumes and Employer Videos: uploading of video similar to [login to view URL], with browsable categories and search. Virtual Interviews (VI): allow the employer to pick a date and block of time when interviews can be scheduled, job seeker can apply to be scheduled, and employer can then choose when or IF to schedule the job seeker for interview. At time of interview, both jobseeker and employer loin a private chat session. The employer has instant access to all files and resumes shared by job seeker, and the employer can share files with job seeker. The employer will also be shown their interview schedule, and be able to adjust it instantly and notify those involved. The employers chat must also have a cue, where jobseekers can wait in line until employer is ready for them, or until another member of the employers staff is logged in and available and willing. Vurtuial Job Fairs (VJF): We want to take that same model of VI's and apply it to a vurtuial job fair, where invited employers can all login for "the event", and job seekers can browse the companies there and what they have to offer, what positions they're hiring for, and access to any company files shared with the event. At any time, the user may login to interview with the company/employer. The website admin will administer "the event", choosing the date and thyme, invite employers and job seekers by industry, job type, location, or other options. And set a fee for employers to pay for participation in the VJF. Except for ActiveX controls (briefcase and possibly chat), this will be a PHP/AJAX/LAMP development, though the server environment is FreeBSD 5.
