Paid on delivery
Generate and display a 3D model of an imaginary landscape. The more realistic the model, the better. Please aim to include: * terrain - i.e. the gound, hills, mountains.etc. * coastline - a lake, river or some sea. * trees As most of these features exhibit self-similarity, the use of fractal techniques to generate them is required. There are several ways you can approach this: 1. **The Java3d Route** - Use the Java3d API to provide the modelling/rendering techniques you require. 2. **The VRML route** - Express your model as a .wrl file and use a VRML browser to handle, shading/rendering, movement etc. If attempting to use fractal techniques in combination with VRML, you would need to implement a Java program which generates at least some of your VRML data . 3. **The free-form option** - MIX AND MATCH TECHNQUES. Look for a large scene with many hills, mountains and lakes, forest, model suitable for use in real video game. (large enough, complex enough, realistic enough). Clearly comment on all code typed out. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 4) Clearly comment on all lines of code what the part of code does. ## Platform running on winXP, mozilla browsers. code checked and ran with Eclipse latest version.
